Just wondering people's thoughts where an audio has mixed languages. For example, Warrior of Light has a single audio track in both English and Portuguese. Right now the DVD Profiler listing lists both languages separately, but to me that suggests two separate tracks, not a single track with two languages. My gut in such instances is to go with whatever language seems most dominant, though of course Other is also an option. What do other people think?

Are there burned in subtitles for one language but not the other?

If possible I would use the language specification encoded on the disc or taken from the menu or cover, in that order of priority.

If not, either English or Portugese would be correct, take your pick.

Listing two tracks would be incorrect, as would Other since that suggests a language we do not track.

I believe we have been using "Other" for instances like this.  I have multiple films where there are more than one language spoken during the film.

The ideal solution would be for Ken to add "Multiple" as an option, but I don't see that happening.

Agreed that listing two tracks is incorrect, however "Other" seems more correct than selecting one language over the other.  How does one determine which language to choose?  Some examples:

The Saltmen of Tibet, a German-produced documentary, is in German and Tibetan.  The filmmakers speak German, but the people whom the film is about speak Tibetan.  We don't track Tibetan, but to select German is not correct either. 

The Great Match deals with people trying to watch a soccer match in three different parts of the world, in three separate sections.  Thus the film is in Tupi, Tamasheq and Mongolian.  Mongolian is the only language we track of the three, but that only covers one third of the film. 

A Summer in La Goulette, a film about three different families in Tunisia, is in French, Arabic and Italian.  We track all three languages, but the languages switch back and forth depending upon who is speaking to whom.  As the film is about the friendship of the Muslim, Jewish & Catholic families, none of them is more important than the other...

The only solution we have is "Other" IMO.
