| Posted: | | | | Just came across this feature on a site a few minutes ago and I would love it if we (the DVD Profiler 3 community) could have something similar online. For example; a Statistics page on invelos.com root or a link on the Database page. Especially... Online collections: - Top 100 Biggest Collections (Owned). With an option to participate or not. Main database: - Total DVDs - Total HD DVDs - Total Blu-ray DVDs but also (if possible) - Top 100 Collected DVDs - Top 100 Actors - Top 100 Directors - Top 100 Producers ...and perhaps (if it's not too secret) - Total Members (both types of members). Thoughts? |

| Posted: | | | | This is an awesome idea for a plugin. And when I'm finished with my current plugin (I'm probably 95% there), this is actually exactly what I'd planned on looking into next. I make no promises, but I do plan to give it a shot.
But it would be statistics about the local database. What DVDSpot has is statistics for their entire user base. If that's what you're interested in, that would still have to be a Ken item since the SDK doesn't let you look at the master database. | | | Get the CSVExport and Database Query plug-ins here. Wow, If you could muster up a statistics plug-in for the local database, that would be sooo cool. Being a needy stats person ever since I installed v2.2, I would be a guaranteed user of such plug-in. There is no way Ken would let any of us code for invelos online stuff... ever... so... yea, you are right Mark, Ken would have to spend some time to code this stat proposal in. The big question is, will he |

This is kind along the same lines of another request: number of users who report this title in their collection |

Would be mighty fun to see what actors, directors, producers, composers... is the more common in my own DVDs. |

| Posted: | | | | This guy already wrote a Simple Statistics plug-in. It was discussed here. It's primary thread is here. I'm waiting for Skip to say this is web site development and not program related. Also see this thread. There was another website that kept collection stats but for the life of me I can't remember anymore. BTW, a feature request with a Poll (I think every feature request should have a Yes/No poll, otherwise the thread should be killed...) with only one option is useless. | | | JAFO

I think you misunderstand the request (as I did initially). It's not stats on your local database, but online stats across all collections. I didn't misread it. The first part of my post is about local stats. The rest is for online. Online stats would be awesome. | | | JAFO
