| Posted: | | | | People often add "Booklet" or "x-page Booklet" to the Other Features field. What about a "Booklet" checkbox in Features, followed by a data entry field that allows you to add the number of pages? I would find this an improvement, albeit only a small one. | | | . · You are my center when I spin away. Out of control on videotape. On videotape · . | | | Last edited: by Herc |

| Posted: | | | | Not necessarily with the additional field to enter the pages, as this might lead to confusion regarding what counts as a page (front or backside of the front). IMO, the mention of "Booklet" is sufficient, regardless of the number of pages (who buys the DVD because of a lenghty booklet anyway?). | | | Lutz |

| Posted: | | | | It would be nice to know if a DVD has a booklet or not. But I wouldn't count a one page chaper list as a booklet, so what is a booklet in your eyes? | | | Deutsches DVD Profiler Forum: www.dvdprofiler-forum.de |

| Posted: | | | | Mosty of the inserts 'pamphlets 'of production and history notes to this Features field must be at least 4 pages in total. Chapter sheets are not considered pamphlets. ( Some reallly do have actual booklets such as My T2 Ultimate Ed. has 30 pages .! ) | | | In the 60's, People took Acid to make the world Weird. | Posted: | | | | I'd vote no. The new options in the latest version where we could tick interviews and outtakes/bloopers, plus the new field of CoO, determines that every single profile needs auditing. What value would this really bring to the profile - the information is already there under 'other features'? Where do you stop on these extra features? Why not have boxes for 'behind the scenes', 'making of','radio spots', 'auditions', 'make-up tests', 'weblinks', 'isolated scores', 'short film' etc etc etc | | | |

| Posted: | | | | I know what you mean, Richie, but I'd like to see a booklets check. I think they are a worthy addition. Criterion especially include very detailed booklets; in some cases you could get away with just saying 'book' and drop the 'let'!
A substansial booklet cannot be anything else. A few of what you mentioned should be quite happy under the umbrella of 'Featurettes' and I don't think we would ever need to expand them.
I can only support it based on my own usage and I do hold a lot of value in some of those booklets. | | | Jon "When Mister Safety Catch Is Not On, Mister Crossbow Is Not Your Friend."

| Posted: | | | | I say no. "Features" are disc specific. "Other features" are for additional materials included with the DVD release such as booklets, collectibles and so forth and so on. This, of course, is my opinion. Your mileage may vary . | | | My WebGenDVD online Collection |

| Posted: | | | | I agree Booklets have NOTHING to do with the Disc or what is on it. A booklet is simply an OTHER feature.

Skip I can't agree completely on this. The program is " DVD Profiler", not " Discs content profiler". So what is a DVD ? IMO, it's a product that you buy as a whole and that includes any material that comes with it, therefore anything included in the package has its place in the profile. Now I'm not saying that every single thing, like booklets, should have their own check boxes but I think it's wrong to "generalize" and say that something isn't a feature if it's not on a disc. | | | My 4x4 Club: Club FJ Cruiser Quebec DVDP Français: Forum DVD Profiler Français DVDCOL:DVD Collectors Online Video: LG RU-42PX10 Audio: Sony DreamSystem DAVFX100W | | | Last edited: by Touti |

| Posted: | | | | I like knowing the number of pages.
Some booklets are two page bits of fluff that really aren't worth the paper they're printed on. Others are in-depth useful extra info that run to many pages.
A page count gives an idea of what you're getting. | | | IVS Registered: January 2, 2002 |
