I just stumbled across that great idea of facebook.com and its open platform for developers and I think I'm in love

It would be really great to see an official dvdprofiler-app for that social network.
Any chances to see something like that happening any time soon?

I do not know anything about Facebook and had never heard of it before this thread and I was wondering why everyone is making such strong objections. I have no opinion on this and am  looking for a little enlightenment here nothing more.

I'm in total agreement with foilman. I'm not usually one for these people sites, but Facebook is a pretty decent site and after just searching for dvd applications I came across 2 which are pretty poor compared to a DVD Profiler plugin.

That's what I had in mind - it would be great to gather new users - from a marketing point of view this move is a no-brainer..

I don't know why some people get upset because of Facebook. Maybe they are mixing it up with MySpace (which is UGLY to look at and attracting another kind of crowd).

All I'm asking for is something like phpDVDProfiler - to display my recently watched DVDs on a facebook profile without reentering all my DVDs again (there are two DVD facebook apps out there), and maybe  display my whole collection.

I can recommend allfacebook.com to get an idea of facebook - that's where I got my information before I really decided to register.

The possibilities are quite impressive - indeed. I didn't even think about the news feed feature

For all the hell no sayers -> you don't want it -> don't use it but I'm pretty sure you too would like to see our beloved DVD-Profiler succeed.

More users -> more development budget -> more features for us, the users. It's a win-win.

As a relative newcomer to Facebook I'm keen to see apps which are useful in sharing news, views and ideas between friends rather than all the inane 'poking' and 'gifting'. 

I think a DVD Profiler app would be a great way of sharing my particular love of the medium with my friends and perhaps also to get ideas for new titles to feed my addiction!

And, of course, it would be a great way for Invelos to have the word spread about this rather fine program.
