If people find your post helpful or in some other way appreciate it, they'll click the little green arrow:  Which then adds one to your tally of positive reputation feedback. To check your current tally, click the star located towards the upper right of the screen:  I don't know at what point you get your first (or subsequent stars) though... When a contributor gives reputation feedback it's for Yes/No votes, but what you're referring to is when a voter wants to give reputation to a contributor. Both comments are obviously good points, so to sum up: You can gain reputation points that will give you a star rating by: - Making forum posts, to which anyone can give you a "green arrow" - Making contribution vote comments, to which only the contributor can give you a "green arrow" - Making contributions, to which anyone who votes on the profile can give you a "green arrow" I'd say that these are probably listed in the order of which you're likely to gain the most green arrows. | | | Tags, tags, bo bags, banana fana fo fags, mi my mo mags, TAGS!

The hard way, and you need to make a concentrated effort to gain green arrows in a short period of time. A hundred arrows spread out over a year doesn't do it. And I can understand your first thought that this would be more about , for example, accepted contributions, although those are easily manipulated by making numerous minute changes one at a time, like CoO, order of audio tracks or subtitles, and what have you. | | | | Hans |
