And implicating that I might have named you "anarchist, troll, racist" in my unmoderated post is infamy at it's best. Sorry, but you took for you something that was not aimed to. My comment was general, and I illustrated it for you with an example that could remind you that it is not so easy to do what you wrote, but not intended to come back on that story. The fact that you did not understand me just proves what I wrote (I mean the difficulty to understand each others). In that case, you play the victim, not me. As for the legend that I feel as a victim, I know from where it came, but it is just totally wrong. I have much more friends in those forums than people who hate me (3), and I consider that most of people (you included) are just "normal" with me, as they are with other users. But you wanted to teach us how it is easy to behave without excessive reaction and just showed the contrary in your last post. I wish you a good evening, and a nice week-end | | | Images from movies |

Is your response above an example of (a), (b) or (c) below? It might be considered as an example for: Quote: Oh and BTW Gunnar is correct, forget what I wrote earlier. Heck, half the time it doesn't even have that effect because the post can be up for hours before a mod can get to it. Perhaps an "auto hide" option can be added that will hide posts that have received X number of red arrows until a moderator can deal with it. Either by removing the offending post, or if they don't agree with the reports, un-hide it again. | | | Last edited: by Ardos |

Doc: If you were in any way correct in your assumption, then said target would be a lot more involved in this thread than he has chosen to be, since this is nothing bit an attack and insult thread aimed at ONE user. Which as far as I am concerned is an TOS violation. the hatred and the venom spewed is pathetic. I will only say to the participants what i have said many times beor...look to your own house before you to try judge another, there is not a single person here qualified to judge anyone else in any way. DISGUSTING behavior to say the least, Doc and you ignore it. While taking aim at the target. and i'll not comment further. Oh and one more thing, Doc, you expect a user to change behavior while this kind of unprovoked CRAP is spewed. That's a joke right. Skip | | | ASSUME NOTHING!!!!!! CBE, MBE, MoA and proud of it. I would hope that the goal of every person is to make DVDP the best that it can be. How one goes about achieving that goal can, at times, be improved.
A few things to think about before posting:
Is your posting helpful? Are you being kind? Could your comments be misconstrued? Are you posting in anger?
Every one of us has the ability to improve or hurt the program...and each other. |

I use a keyboard decibel system. If my wife can hear me typing in the other room I usually don't submit the post. |

| Posted: | | | | Quoting Ken Cole: Quote: My point is that if we were to combine the strictest of policies suggested at one time or another (absolute politeness combined with a 1-strike permaban), virtually everyone would be banned. In fact, I would likely have to ban myself. I've been to other boards that have a hidden, opt-in forum where they banish inflamatory posts to. Posters who really just want to argue can stay in there, seperated out from the rest of the board. Sometimes users are allowed to get only into that forum if they've caused enough uproar on the rest of the board. I know that would take up a lot more of the moderators' time, but it is another option to keeping the forums clean. --------------- |
