My thoughts exactly. Somehow I don't think Latin America is gonna lose any sleep over this. Yes, lets drive all the small contributors away, who needs their pitiful bits of work - if they are not prepared to put your life on hold to spend every free second into the community, then we don't need them around here. Your kind of attitude is disgusting imo. Every contributor should be welcomed and supported. This attitude of kicking the **on the way out of unhappy members makes me sick. **edit | | | Andy

Dude, seriously. Are you snarked off at everyone? It seems no matter what someone posts, it pisses you off.

| Posted: | | | | **edit | | | No dictator, no invader can hold an imprisoned population by force of arms forever. There is no greater power in the universe than the need for freedom. Against this power, governments and tyrants and armies cannot stand. The Centauri learned this lesson once. We will teach it to them again. Though it take a thousand years, we will be free. - Citizen G'Kar | | | Last edited: by Gerri Cole |

| Posted: | | | | Well, that's okay Unicus. The PM he just sent me was full of vulgarities, and I have reported it to Ken & Gerri, as it's a blatant violation of the forum rules. |

| Posted: | | | | Lopek, you might want to read the forum rules before posting insults and name calling. | | | Are you local? This is a local shop the strangers you would bring would not understand us, our customs, our local ways. |

Sorry to say this, but I'm under the impression that all those discussions about (third party-) sources end in a flame war. We should be aware that rules have to be global and due to this fact we definitely need a common denominator. Even if I do not agree with every detail of the rules I have no problem to accept them because it's nearly impossible to represent every global interest. This should be a subject to a pragmatic discussion without emotions! Just MY thougts - so if you like start flaming me for this - I can stand it and sorry for my english - it could be better I know..I'm working on this | | | Thorsten |

| Posted: | | | | While I agree that the vulgarities were totally uneccessary (although tw*t isn't as extreme a word as it in the US), what I find most galling is that there are a lot of people who will take every opportunity to make snide remarks about other users. In this situation, Lopek made a valid point that sarcastic comments can drive people away and is not healthy for the community. he may have put it a bit more diplomatically, but it was still a valid point. But others took it upon themselves to start insulting him, and thus we end up with nasty posts going backwards and forwards. I've always thought that a forum that needed moderators was a forum full of people who I don't really want to converse with. But this place is getting worse, and soon a lot more people are going to be driven away unless the bad behaviour is stamped out. |

What are you cackling about? Nobody expects this of anyone...so stop with the drama already! Quoting Lopek: Quote: Your kind of attitude is disgusting imo. Someone who comes to the forum and apologizes to an entire continent about retirement from contributing is gonna get somewhat roasted. It's inevitable. If you need help and ask for it then that's one thing but as soon as you start trying to make yourself God's gift to contributors then you're gonna get some sarcasm in return. I want as many people to contribute as possible but I'm not gonna beg people to do it...which seems to me what some here want every time one of these threads is started. |
