Well that was enjoyable, I'll glad I have given you all so much to talk about this Tuesday afternoon.  But I must say, if you were to ban mentions of IMDB then you wouldn't be able to have any fun destroying the person that mentioned it.  Clearly the Invelos forum is very fair and a true demoracy, unlike the world we live in today, so indeed I must resign my suggestion to reinstate IMDB feeds.  But I am glad to see I wasn't the only one to vote for a reinstatement.

As a separate note I'd like to thank skipnet50 for PM'ing me direct about the issue, it was nice of you to think of me but I'm not into same sex relations!

Uh oh.... I can only think of three things that will match the next scenario in this thread.

1. I sense a disturbance in The Force.

What part of "It's a violation of IMDb's ToS" don't you people get?  IMDb does not allow it's data to be 'mined' for use in other commercial applications.  The rule is there to ensure that Invelos doesn't get into any legal trouble.

That sure seems easy enough to understand.

I have actually tried it this way.  The problem is, some of their casts lists are so screwed up it is just easier to start from scratch.

That being said, as long as the cast list matches the end credits and follows the rules, it doesn't matter what your starting data looked like.

If you're going to cop an attitude, don't let the door hit you in the @ss on the way out.  We want accurate data, not the stuff that passes for it from IMDB, and if you're too lazy to do it right, we don't need your contributions anyway, because all you do is create more work for the rest of us.
