The title is definitely 'Bud Abbott and Lou Costello Meet Frankenstein" under the new Rules:
"Use the title from the front cover".
This is not a possessive, so we don't need to check anyplace else.
I missed the bit about trying to list Lugosi and Chaney as "uncredited".
How can they be "uncredited" when they are listed in the credits? Their monster roles are uncredited .. Isn't Kevin Costners Hand credited as Uncredited in The Big Chill ??? | | | In the 60's, People took Acid to make the world Weird. Now the World is weird and People take Prozac to make it Normal.

| Posted: | | | | Once again, by your logic Chevy Chase would have one credited role as Fletch, and umpteen uncredited roles for when he was in disguise. All the while, only actually playing one character in the movie. |

The screen credits don't say,, but we know its there there . so therefore it is called UNCREDITED ... The rules call for uncredited ACTORS, not uncredited roles. There are quite a few movies I can name where the characters are refered to as something other than their credited role. Blade is the first that comes to mind. In the credits his role is 'Blade', but he is often refered to as 'Daywalker'. Should I create an uncredited entry for that reference? I am sorry, but your logic is quite flawed here. Quote: Those uncredited roles ARE already in the data base already., I just wanted to make the cast/screen roles exactly as they are credited in the closing credit roll.. ( I did leave a snapshot of that frame for all to see.. )
Perhaps you would like to have both uncredited roles removed then?? I don't question the 97 uncredited munchkins in Wizard of OZ why are you so much against these two names.. ??
I don't get it .. Apples and oranges. The Wizard of Oz 'munchkins' are uncredited actors. They are not listed anywhere in the credits. The rules allow for them to be entered. The rules do not allow for uncredited roles...UNLESS the actor is credited without a role. That does not apply in this case. | | | No dictator, no invader can hold an imprisoned population by force of arms forever. There is no greater power in the universe than the need for freedom. I'm not saying that at all. I'm saying that they are credited one way and that's how they should be listed in DVD Profiler. Quote: The screen credits don't say,, but we know its there there . so therefore it is called UNCREDITED ... The screen credits are definitive. Uncredited actors may be listed. Under your system, we could include "007" as an uncredited role for James Bond? Or "Mom" or "Dad" for any character addressed by a name other than their credited name? Are you really thinking through the ramifications here? Quote: Those uncredited roles ARE already in the data base already., I just wanted to make the cast/screen roles exactly as they are credited in the closing credit roll.. ( I did leave a snapshot of that frame for all to see.. ) The proper method would be to list the role as credited and leave it at that. Quote:
Perhaps you would like to have both uncredited roles removed then?? Yes. Quote: I don't question the 97 uncredited munchkins in Wizard of OZ why are you so much against these two names.. ?? Having a lot of uncredited actors on one movie has nothing to do with adding additonal uncredited role names for credited actors. Apples and oranges. Red herring. You've just removed the uncredited entries (good) but changed the credited role names to: Lon Chaney as Lawrence Talbot /Wolfman UncreditedBela Lugosi as Dracula /Dr. Lajos UncreditedTry again. | | | ...James

| Posted: | | | | You've recontributed again and now your new contribution notes say: Quote: Cast as verified by myself on screen end titles credits in cast roll exact. However, some of your roles are not 'as credited': Bud Abbott as Chick Lou Costello as Wilbur Lon Chaney as Lawrence Talbot /WolfmanBela Lugosi as Dracula /Dr. LajosGlenn Strange as The Monster Lenore Aubert as Sandra Mornay Jane Randolph as Joan Raymond Frank Ferguson as Mr. McDougal Charles Bradstreet as Dr. Stevens Quoting widescreenforever: Quote:
Edit: Thanks for adding the uncredited back, but it would be nice if you could tick the uncredited box on a couple of them and clean up the truncated "uncredited" listings: Bobby Barber as Waiter (uncredited) George Barton as Man (uncredited) Harry Brown as Photographer (uncredited) Joe Kirk as Man at Costume Party in Fez (uncredHoward Negley as Harris, Insurance Man (uncredited) Vincent Price as Invisible Man (voice, uncredited) Carl Sklover as Man at Costume Party (uncredited) Helen Spring as Woman at Baggage Counter (uncreditePaul Stader as Sergeant (uncredited) Clarence Straight as Man in Armor (uncredited) Joe Walls as Man (uncredited) | | | ...James

| Posted: | | | | New resubmission. Roles look good. Now you've added an original title: Abbott and Costello Meet Frankenstein The rules says: The Original Title field will contain the original theatrical title, while the Title field will contain the title of the DVD release. What proof do you have that the original theatrical title is Abbott and Costello Meet Frankenstein? The title screen says Bud Abbott Lou Costello Meet Frankenstein. | | | ...James
