No, please not more abuse of dividers for those kind of purposes! Should we add a divider whenever the credit changes the screen or when the space between two lines is slightly bigger? |

I think that Pantheon's point was that the Effects House is the most relevant piece of information. Of course, the rules clearly state not to contribute companies, only individual credits. | | | -- Enry |

| Posted: | | | | This I agree with but as with movie studios profiling is already complicated enough and I don't think we need to complicate things any further. Besides most people don't bother to enter the new art crew anyway, so I don't think we benefit from throwing effect houses in the mix. | | | Martin Zuidervliet

No. Media Companies are those Companies involved in the production/distribution of the DVD media not the film itself. | | | My WebGenDVD online Collection |

| Posted: | | | | There's no definition in the rules for media company, so in fact any company involved with either the movie or the DVD could be entered since both are media. Not that I would do this of course. | | | Martin Zuidervliet

Or change the rules? That would be acceptable as well. | | | No dictator, no invader can hold an imprisoned population by force of arms forever. I agree this might be a good idea, I know several people dont contribute anymore for these same reasons. Its a shame no one can see their work for themselves to decide. |

Who decides which part is the most important part? It seems pretty clear that Pantheon considers this information important. As with any other crew credit, if you don't feel it is important, don't enter it. If it comes down in a profile, and you don't want it in your local, all you have to do is delete it. | | | No dictator, no invader can hold an imprisoned population by force of arms forever. You will notice with this particular profile I have NOT added ALL of the numerous hair/costumes and acceptable Visual Effects people. I have stuck with the Supervisers/Designers etc. My point is that the current Art section is a jumbled mess with no meaning - simply because the rules are ambiguous or restrictive. I have no objection to adding the crew - BUT I want that information to mean something. Basically if ILM or WETA worked on a film I want to know about it. I don't want a list of names with no meaning. However, this is simply what I want. I realise that not everyone would want the same....but, as Unicus states those people could simply refuse the update or remove the dividers locally. But dividers aren't the only issue here.... You will have noticed that I have typed the EXACT role for each crew member. This, to me, is also very important information. Currently any future updates will overwrite my custom roles. BAD IDEA!!!! I don't see why Ken bothered giving us the ability to overtype the current accepted jobs without being able to contribute/maintain that information. So...for now, at least, I'll be keeping my work to myself. |

I was just thinking over the past couple of days about whether it was worth making a feature request to make this info contributable. I think I might and see how popular it is. |
