So for the times when the only programmer of this project is going to participate in the upcoming cloning program one can not bump the requests for alternate versions too often. | Posted: | | | | Sorry. Was trying to be humorous and obviously failed (A typical German problem, I suppose)
In fact your request for alternate versions is very valid. As I've said you weren't the first and (probably) will not be the last to ask for an alternate version.
The problem we have here: The project only has one programmer and he seems to have enough to do maintaining the existing database. So I wouldn't hold my breath while waiting for the fulfillment of your request. | | | It all seems so stupid, it makes me want to give up! But why should I give up, when it all seems so stupid?

I'm sure if the program have had atleast a Game-possibilty, new income would've been made, seing how many games-collectors there are out there. |

| Posted: | | | | Hiring extra help or taking volunteer help sounds very possible. That has sounded very possible for many, many, many years. Yet Ken hasn't ever explored those possibilities to the best of our knowledge.
You can ask. Many have. Just don't expect to get back a positive answer. Or one at all. | | | Get the CSVExport and Database Query plug-ins here. Create fake parent profiles to organize your collection. |

I'm not entirely sure they don't exist, but at least I don't know any developers that would work for free on a commercial project. | | | It all seems so stupid, it makes me want to give up! Well, if a 2nd person had been hired, these projects could have been completed, and enabled the developer(s) to add more features. Just my 2 $. |

| Posted: | | | | Agreed. Even though just one programmer probably wouldn't suffice.
Sadly Ken Cole (who together with his wife Geri are Invelos) hasn't hired one yet and probably never will.
No one of the users here (and this explicitly includes me) can tell you why this is, we can only state that it is this way.
In fact one of the fears that frequently gets named in this forums is the question: What happens to this project if something happens to Ken (may he live and be healthy forever!)? | | | It all seems so stupid, it makes me want to give up! But why should I give up, when it all seems so stupid?

I don't see how a second programmer could ever be hired as the business model doesn't seem like it could support much more than Ken. | | | No dictator, no invader can hold an imprisoned population by force of arms forever.
