My Version 11 Ultra is working just fine...so far. Used it yesterday with no problems on a couple of new blu-rays.

My PC will not run BD on PowerDVD 10 or 11 latest up dates. Have you run the Cyberlink BD or 3D advisor program. It says my video card can't hack, I've know this for several months.

They will playa DVD if you turn off the TrueTheater effects....Cyberlink PowerDVD settings>video>TrueTheater effects>off[

My PC has about had it. Last week the sound went out, the sound system gets nothing and the screen speaker barely get a peep if I turn the sound all the way up.  The C drive sounds funny occasionally, Fortunately I got 2T byte My Book on Amazon's deal of the day and have everything saved.

For about a week I've been studying all the options on the internet, but haven't had the time to get to the stores, But I can't makeup my mind. The note books are looking pretty good, since any more about all I use the darn thing for is scan the internet and run the DVD Profiler. I got to look inside.

AnyDVD HD is providing it's own keys. So when running it simultaneously the original keys are not needed.

The problem is that AnyDVD is outlawed in several countries for doing exactly this.

But the Support Notice for eg PowerDVD 7 says that the Development Phase has already ended in 2009, and bigdaddyhorse's PDVD7 worked until Dec. 31, 2011.

Rhetorical question, do I have B-rDs released after 2011 June (end of development phase for my PDVD9)? The youngest, Rise of the Planet of the Apes, still works (again).

I run version 6   and am very happy with it ...........

If you have Windows 8 avoid Windvd 11 as it doesn't work on this OS. Still waiting for the patch they promised they were working on months ago. 

Which is "the best software" depends on too many variables.

All programs that advertise "Bluray Playback" will do exactly this.

What else do you expect from this software?
If you want MCE-integration don't buy Nero
If you are running Windows 8.1, WinDVD still seems to have some problems
If you expect decent support stay away from PowerDVD

It's all a matter of which (personal) pros outweigh the cons.

For me it is PowerDVD (again) mostly for its MCE integration and simply because I'm used to it.

You might want to check out Media Player Classic. It's open source freeware. I use it together with AnyDVDHD and it seems to work OK. Not sure if it handles 3D, though.
