I don't frequent a lot of website/fora other than this one, but some of the ones I DO patronize have similar stuff -- or at least a button where someone can alert the powers that be if he finds a particular post abusive or insulting.

Not sure if this was discussed at some point or not, I didn't see it. I've seen a number of "Negative Feedback Removed" emails show up in my box. There isn't really much of an explanation to it. What exactly is this? Does this mean someone rated a post of mine and it was removed? Or was it a reputation vote of mine that was rejected? I don't think I voted negatively in equal proportion to the number of emails I got. Any help would be great. Thanks.

It means that a negative vote you gave someone else was retracted by an Admin.

As an example, I got three emails today about this yet I haven't submitted any negative reputation votes in days...I'm just confused.

if you submitted 8 ratings of which 3 were negative (and you were mistakenly submitting these against profile contribution notes) then these are the 3 emails.

I'm guessing that the the others which have been reversed are for the positive ratings since that isn't correct either.

I just wanted to comment that your posts in response to all the inquires about the reputation system have been very clear and concise in my eyes. I just think you have thought this through very thoroughly. Your answers here seem worded better than some of your responses to other threads in the forums. I admire you for having such a strong conviction for this new system. Maybe you should copyright and market it to other websites with forums when you get all of the tweaking done.
