Let's start there. I see the phone but not the sd card. The file "Droid_DVDP" appears in the phone directory. One more thing I just thought of (since it was about 2 years ago I started with Android). When I first hooked up my phone, I was asked if I wanted to install drivers. I figured that was odd, as everything was USB, however, I ran them anyway. I did get the HTC Sync program (Not needed here), some Verizon bloatware, and I think a driver to recognize my phone loaded. I know if I open my phone, the furthest I can go is one folder as the phone is locked. You might check with your carrier's support line (their usually fairly good) and see if a driver is needed. Or check the carrier website. Found the folder and the file! It is in a second folder (in lower case). Computer/DROID RAZR HD/Internal Storage/ droid_dvdp/droid_dvdp_is_here .
Now the plug-in is gone in DVDP on my computer. Maybe I can just manually copy the db??? Now the plug-in is gone in DVDP on my computer ???? Did you uninstall? The plugin and the *.apk are not linked. And the plugin does not live where the other plugins do. It's off to the right on the menu bar. Short of uninstalling, I have no idea why it would disappear. When you stopped the search of ABG, did you kill DVDP from the task manager? You may need to run the database rebuild (if you weren't prompted already). Otherwise, just reinstall the same plugin version and see what happens. If it shows back up (a menu option that says Plugins all the way to the right), then use the the "Removable disk" option, even if it isn't. Find the folder, then dvdp_is_here and do a test run. (Flag some tiles 10-20, select transfer flagged only, transfer the database and see what happens. |

A couple more things, then it has go to someone else: 1) Have you tried calling your carriers support line (or stopping in) to ask about setting up the phone so the sd card shows? 2) Go to: C:\Program Files (x86)\DVD Profiler\Plugins to be sure the directory exists. If not that's an issue on it's own. (Is DVD Profiler installed on C://??) 3) Just delete the folder (or run ihe uninstall in the folder. (and any same name plugins that end in BAK. 4) Reboot your system. 5) Delete you copy of the 0.91 plugin and download a new copy. Install that. 6) Hopefully the Plugins Menu shows. Anything after this, except tips on using the program will have to be Oliver or Rob. |

| Posted: | | | | If you have problem installing the plugin : 1. uninstall it again 2. remove the file c:\reglog.txt 3. install the plugin (if you are not admin, right click on setup.exe and choose 'Run as Administrator') 4. check the reglog.txt file and watch for any error.
If it does not work, try to register the dll manually : open a dos prompt and type : %windir%\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v2.0.50727\RegAsm.exe /codebase /tlb "<<yourdvdprofiledirectory>>\Droid_DVDP_Exporter\Droid_DVDP_Exporter.dll" !!!! replace <<yourdvdprofiledirectory>> by the correct path and in one line !! Ex : %windir%\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v2.0.50727\RegAsm.exe /codebase /tlb "%programfiles%\dvd profiler\plugins\droid_dvdp_exporter\droid_dvdp_exporter.dll"
DVD Profiler loads the plugins when starting. So if the program was running, close it and restart it.

| Posted: | | | | Thank You! once again for this fantastic app. I have just upgraded to v0.92/0.93 without problem but I do have a bug report.
Android phone is a HTC Desire Z running latest stock firmware. The upgrade of DVDProfiler worked fine (I uninstalled the old version, reinstalled and did a new export) but if I try to switch from List view to Cover view the app crashes and will not restart. the only work around appears to be uninstall/install the app.
No problem as List view is fine but i thought you might appreciate the bug report and I hope it doesn't spoil your vacation.
Thanks again Brian |

The file is there so I don't see the point of this. Simplest reason is Droid DVDP is supposed to live on the micro SD card. Next is, if you cannot get a sync to work with you phone by any other means, you can pull the micro SD card and point the Plugin to it in a card reader on your computer. (They usually come with the full size SD adapters, etc.) It's a bit clunky, however, it DOES work. It was a workaround in Windows Mobile 6.1 when it would go flaky and stop recognizing the micro SD card. That way when you put it back in you'd have your database. The only "problem" is, is your phone accessing it? The other reason is, phone storage is much smaller than your micro SD card. |
