Oh, ok. DId not check THAT :D

OK, if 1800 on my side is taking like 5 seconds, then 7000 easily might take 12, right?

Maybe there is a way to reduce the database and remove unnneded information?

Sorry for taking so long to reply . . .  yes, over 7k profiles.  That's why I asked if it might be due to a large collection.  I limited the cast to 15 and crew to 10.

I'm using a Motorola DROID RAZR HD .  I don't know if it would be considered mid-range or not.  It does more than I need if that means anything.  I chose it because of the antennae and reliability rating.  I make a lot of calls from rural locations and dropped calls/bad reception make me unhappy.

Damn!
I thought I was bad at over a thousand! (if you add back in all the child profiles and DVD combo parts I select out). That might be an option.
I have directions (that at least work for me). In your case  I'm not sure. It's things like the full set of Monty Python, 23 discs. I only show the main package and not the next 22. The same for Stargate SG-1. I have all 10 years x 10 discs. I only have the main package load, the child profiles don't.
Since the thread is now 44 "pages" long, see if you can search under post by me in this forum within the last 2 (?) years. If that doesn't work, widen it out to all forums.

PS: The phone you have is a higher end mid level phone. I get what you saying about antenna. Dropped calls and poor quality are two of my biggest determining factors

Thanks for your help with the phone app, Dave.

I'm not going to worry about the load speed just now because I'm certain it is slow due to the size of the collection.  I have my collection the way I want it on my computer. The main reason for having it on the phone is for those times when I'm out and can't remember if I have a specific title or not. Most of the time, I do. The app certainly saves me the hassle of returning one that is already on the shelf at home.

Just in case you want to see the collection, I posted images in an older thread in one of the sub-forums. The thread might be as old as four years or more so the collection is larger now but those old images show you what I did for storage.

At first I got this error when I tried opening the app on my phone after install
"droid dvdp invalid database version"

After that when I tried opening it again it said "unfortunately Droid DVDP has Stopped"

Any idea what I've done wrong?

Edit
*I'm using a HTC Evo with the 1.10 software.

Hi!
You have be to using the new beta AND the new plugin. There were changes made in the database. Uninstall the plugin (or if you install over the top I think the uninstall  happens then), and be sure the two versions match.
Then run a sync.
You should be good to go.

If this doesn't work, get back to us here.

Hello,

Thanks for the application and really good job.

I have a question for the display on my phone (Samsung Note 2)

When I visualize my collection I see the child's profile, but on my phone I don't need it and I would like to see my collection without child's profile.

Thanks for your help.

ksfmcgh - I have what I want loaded via flags.

So for thing like the 4 File Collections I load the child profiles and NOT the main.

For things like Season DVD sets I only load the parent ( both PC and Phone )

Once you have everything selected as you want it for the phone save the flag set.

Just have to remember to flag the new profiles as you add them.

Post the UPCs of such profiles, and I'll check what I can do (flag in export or option in application) ...

Thanks for your answer.
RobAGD : It works, I try with a few disc, but I need a lot of time to do on the full collection.

kitarolivier : It's the UPCs for each child profile, like all the TV show or when there are a DVD and a blu-ray.

Hi Oliver
This was my largest nemesis when I first set the program up:
733961-145540 - The Complete Monty Python's Flying Circus (21 disc set)
027616 152572 - Stargate SG-1 Season 1 (5 disc set)
027616 152503 - Stargate SG-1 Season 2 (5 disc set) (50 discs total for all 10 seasons)

This should give you an idea. Any questions just ask. I've posted how to set up the database to eliminate child profiles, specific for these situations, and BR+DVD combos a few times in the thread.
It's how I've run my database since you came out with the program.

Once set up, it works.

ksfmcgh - It may take a bit, but I found it easier to to have teh system auto expant nested profiles/boxsets.

Just sit down and start setting flaggs, and save as you go.

Not sure how you do your collections, but I broke mine into the following categories :

Movies ( All live actions movies )
BluRays ( Everything I have on BR )
Animated ( Anime, Animated movies )
TV Series ( Tv shows, Animated Series etc )

Then I have Dups, Junk, Waiting, Ordered

Also when I have a Movie Parent / Child The parent doesnt get a profiler collection number, and is not counted. The children in that case get the Collection Number and counted as 1.

Personally I never bother with the discs for season DVD's its is just extra clutter that I personally don't see a need for.

Good luck

-Robert

OK I did the setting flaggs and it works great.
Thanks for your help.

I don't know if it's normal but the application is long to respond. Just when I launch it, need 5 seconds to have the collection displayed et 3 or 4 seconds to displayed an items (when I click on it)
