| Posted: | | | | I recently bought a new DOCSIS 3.0 Motorola cable modem to replace my aged Motorola 2.0. It gives me a noticable difference in speed now, at about the rated speed I'm paying for (30 Mbps): The test direct from my ISP at a different server gives a slightly higher download rating: | | | Corey | | | Last edited: by Katatonia |

| Posted: | | | | My connection speed is terrible compared to the ones shown here (not going to even bother to embarrass myself) regardless of the plan I have because the phone lines are and always have been terrible.
In a way, though, it benefits me. I have a 150GB monthly transfer limit (UL + DL) and if not for the speed, I could easily run through it in a week without realizing. | | | If at first you don't succeed, skydiving isn't for you.

| Posted: | | | | Virgin Media; getting what I pay for (50/5) on a Sunday afternoon. Still waiting for my upgrade to 120Mb/s though. Paul | | | Do you ever find yourself striving for perfection with an almost worthless attempt at it? Guttermouth "Lemon Water". Also, I include in my Profiler database VHS tapes, audio DVDs, audio books (digital, cassette and CD), video games (digital, DVD and CD) and 'enhanced' CDs with video tracks on them, as well as films and TV I've bought digitally. So I'm an anarchist, deal with it. Just be thankful I don't include most of my records and CDs etc in it too; don't think I haven't been tempted... |
