I'm a bit fuzzy on this. Let's use cartoons, for an example.

If an actor does multiple voices on a show, and there's no official cast list...how do we do that? Should one credit be used with the actor and all of the roles he/she plays, or should there be a separate entry in the credits for each role used?
"I am Andrew Ryan and I am here to ask you a question:
Is a man not entitled to the sweat of his own brow?

No, says the man in Washington. It belongs to the poor.
No, says the man in the Vatican. It belongs to God.
No, says the man in Moscow. It belongs to everyone.

I rejected those answers. Instead, I chose something
different. I chose the impossible. I chose…
Rapture."

When the actor's name appears only once in the credits, I don't see any reason to list him multiple times.

I like the way it's done with the Simpsons:

Dan Castellaneta as Homer Simpson/Grampa/Barney Gumble
Julie Kavner as Marge Simpson/Patty & Selma Bouvier
Nancy Cartwright as Bart Simpson/Nelson Muntz/Todd Flanders

I can see numerous reasons to list an actor more than once, tarantino. The most obvious of which is the limited field length, sometimes we have data overflow, in such a case I would probably use two entries. We'll see what I think when I next run into it.

Ross:

It would depnd on the film, sometimes actors get a single credit and a string of roles, and sometimes they get separate credits for each role. I have even seen actors taking two different credits for two different roles, or a crew preson taking one name for his crew work and a different name for his On Screen work.

Then there is the exception I mentioned where we have too much data for the field length.

Right, but like I said, this is the example where there's no actual credits - The Simpsons is a good example.

It might help if people actually read the post.

To answer your question, I prefer multiple roles on a single line UNLESS they don't all fit.
No dictator, no invader can hold an imprisoned population by force of arms forever.
There is no greater power in the universe than the need for freedom.
Against this power, governments and tyrants and armies cannot stand.
The Centauri learned this lesson once.
We will teach it to them again.
Though it take a thousand years, we will be free.

Either way is correct, since it is not covered in the Rules.

Prior to 3.0, only Unicus' preference was possible.  Under 3.0, it can be done either way.

I have no preference either way.
