According to the rules Credits will be listed on the individual profiles, does this mean local databases?

Also why isnt Superman tho Mivie(4 Disk) considered a box set?

I am not sure what you are asking...could you please elaborate?
No dictator, no invader can hold an imprisoned population by force of arms forever.
There is no greater power in the universe than the need for freedom.
Against this power, governments and tyrants and armies cannot stand.
The Centauri learned this lesson once.
We will teach it to them again.
Though it take a thousand years, we will be free.

in the contribution rules for boxsets it states Credits will be listed on the individual profiles. what does this mean?

And my other question was movies like Spuerman the Movie(4 disc) and Dawn of the Dead Ultimate, why are these not considered boxsets?

In case of box sets (i.e. different movies in one pack) we create seperate profiles for the individual movies. Those are called "child profiles". All data relevant to this release is stored in the child profile. The profile for the box set itself - referred to as "parent profile" - only contains data relevant to the packaging of the box set, i. e. title, release date of the box set, combined running time, SRP, cover scans and such.

In order to have all data, you'll need to download the child profiles seperately, either by UPC if the DVDs included in the box set carry one, or - more common - by disc ID. For the latter, insert the DVD into your DVD-ROM drive, the program will find the disc. If you don't have a DVD-ROM drive, or it doesn't work, try adding the children by title. Unfortunately, at this time, DVDP does not automatically download the children when a parent profile is added to your local db.

If you add or edit a box set parent profile, do not include cast & crew data. Set up child profiles for the individual discs, or leave that to someone else.

Regarding your second question: IMO these titles only contain different cuts of the same movie, not different movies. Others in these forums share a different POV on this subject, as you'll find out for sure if you look around the threads of the past couple of months. Try searching for "Ben Hur" and "Dances with Wolves" IIRC.
