I made a contribution for the new RoboCop release, consisting entirely of changing lastname "Del Zamora" to firstname "Del" and lastname "Zamora", referring to the fact that he is so listed on numerous other DVDs. No one had a problem with that (the first name "Del" frequently leads to this problem), but a couple users rejected the contribution because of other changes I'd supposedly made: another actor's last name spelling (DoQui or Doqui or some such with diacriticals) and deleting another actor's birth year. But I didn't do either of these things. What's going on?

You did change the following, and they show up clearly on the contribution evaluation:

http://www.invelos.com/Database.aspx?task=evaluate&id=369613

You removed the Birth Year for Kurtwood Smith without stating why you were removing it.

You changed the capitalization of Robert Doqui to Robert DoQui without stating why.

Katatonka, I don't know how to say it clearer: NO I DIDN'T. I didn't make either of those changes. What I did was change the format of the name Del Zamora. Period. I did not do either of the other two things you're taliking about. (BTW, the link you give is no longer useful.)

But regardless of whether you made those changes or not, they have got into your database (most likely through another profile change). So you have 2 options:
1. You could change the two extra changes back to the way the online database says, then submit only your change.
2. You track back where the changes came from and add this info to your contribution notes so the voters can see the changes came from an approved change.

That doesn't matter. You're contribution DID alter those things as mentioned, regardless if you were aware of it or not. As northbloke said, those changes got into your personal database somehow, most likely through another profile.

The link no longer works now because your contribution was declined for the reasons stated. You can submit it again, but make sure on your contribution entry page that only the changes you mention are being submitted.
