| Posted: | | | | I didn't think that dvd profiler would accept that as a name change? So isn't this pointless? | | | Paul |

It's true that you can have only one of both variants in your local database, but different profiles in the online database can contain both variants. It's helpful if we all use the same variant. On top of that, I have DVD's in which she's credited as Elle MacPherson and as Elle Macpherson. These poll results lead me to use "Elle MacPherson, credited as Elle Macpherson" in the cases where she's credited as the latter, and not the other way around. |

| Posted: | | | | generally speaking, as a person who has a Mc/Mac as part of my last name, the letter after each is capped. of course everyone from scotland and ireland is going to come and kill me now... but i'm part scottish/irish...have mercy...nooooooooo krik | | | "Vampirism is still not a disease, Julia. | Posted: | | | | Quote from the Wikipedia page: Quote: Macpherson's last name is often printed as "MacPherson" and sometimes as "McPherson", but these appear to be incorrect. Sources which can be expected to be reliable, such as Playboy magazine (vol. 41, no. 5, May 1994), and the website for Macpherson's official lingerie line [1], consistently print the name as "Macpherson". And the Vogue article and this interview here also call her Macpherson, so I've voted for that. Edit: krik, you're mostly right about the letter usually being capped after Mac/Mc and had she been Scottish or Irish I would have automatically voted the other way. But I think Elle's name is one of the exceptions. | | | Last edited: by northbloke |

| Posted: | | | | It is Macpherson. Behemot's references are to her companies, so she ought to know her own name. In addition, she is and Aussie and I am an Aussie male who has been drooling over her for years so my vote should carry more weight. Personally I think that she should be credited as Elle 'The Body" Macpherson because that is what she has been known as for many years. | | | Last edited: by Telecine |

| Posted: | | | | Even though the poll results seem to favor MacPherson, I don't see anyone having provided evidence to suggest that this is correct. I agree with northbloke that the Credit Lookup Tool shouldn't be used as "proof", for reasons discussed in many other threads. |

| Posted: | | | | This also illustrates that we should always be careful with polls. I was also inclined to say MacPherson. Until I started googling and looking at various places. The most trustworthy sites all say Macpherson, not MacPherson. So I think it's pretty clear which one is correct. |
