| Posted: | | | | I think it would be very useful if the CLT sorted on the original title field it that is possible. This would group all of the profiles for a given title together, making it much easier when evaluating credits. Of course there will be profiles with invalid data in them that will muck this up, but it would be nice if this could work. | | | Kevin |

Well, Ken did recently finally got around to eliminating (uncredited) entries from the CLT results, so there IS still hope this might happen too, at some point... |

I would go further too suggest that the title count be more accurate in the first place. the TV series "24" technically only has six titles :- Season's 1 - 6 yet the clt says titles 322 of these 124 are child profiles Steve |

| Posted: | | | | This is why I wanted tv series to always have the same original title, like "24", but most people disagreed. So we're stuck with different naming conventions for seasons (or series, säsonger or whatever). | | | First registered: February 15, 2002 |

Yes, Giga, wrongly entered titles AND wrong production years yield add-ons to the title count. Look at the titles in Miguel A. Núñez Jr. and you can see many examples of that.
Given that we are supposed to use the CLT to determine the most credited form, and the fact that the CLT data is polluted with IMDB's variant of most actor names, we definitely need a method of determining actual film titles. I know you, T!M and a few other people who have attempted to filter the CLT results down for determining the actual most credited form know exactly how much work and time this takes.
I've found several titles in the above named variant of Nunez's CLT results that have 0 contribution notes here or at IVC, meaning they have not been edited for over 3 years. So we just have to keep plugging away, one person at a time to clean up the database, however, some of these "dormant" profiles may never be corrected. | | | Kevin | | | Last edited: by antolod |
