| Posted: | | | | Hi Guys,
I was thinking, if I like someones contribution of a DVD with cover scans I can Copy and Paste the cover scan into my collection before it is approved.
It would be really nice if the XML for cast and crew contributions was available as well (that way if you like what was contributed and keep it locally) you can download it and add it to your collection.

Ritch there is no import function built into dvd Profiler - so having an xml download from the contribution would be pointless at this time. | | | Paul |

<?xml version="1.0" encoding="ISO-8859-1"?> <CastInformation> <Title>Der 1. Ritter</Title> <Actors> <Actor FirstName="Sean" MiddleName="" LastName="Connery" BirthYear="1930" Role="King Arthur" CreditedAs="" Voice="False" Uncredited="False"/> <Actor FirstName="Richard" MiddleName="" LastName="Gere" BirthYear="1949" Role="Lancelot" CreditedAs="" Voice="False" Uncredited="False"/> <Actor FirstName="Julia" MiddleName="" LastName="Ormond" BirthYear="1965" Role="Guinevere" CreditedAs="" Voice="False" Uncredited="False"/> <Actor FirstName="Ben" MiddleName="" LastName="Cross" BirthYear="1947" Role="Prince Malagant" CreditedAs="" Voice="False" Uncredited="False"/> <Actor FirstName="Liam" MiddleName="" LastName="Cunningham" BirthYear="1961" Role="Agravaine" CreditedAs="" Voice="False" Uncredited="False"/> </Actors> </CastInformation>

<?xml version="1.0" encoding="ISO-8859-1"?> <CrewInformation> <Title>Der 1. Ritter</Title> <Credits> <Credit FirstName="Jerry" MiddleName="" LastName="Zucker" BirthYear="1950" CreditType="Direction" CreditSubtype="Director" CreditedAs=""/> </Credits> </CrewInformation>

| Posted: | | | | If the Cast & Crew contribution conforms to the rules it will get approved and released in a few days anyways. Why the hurry? If it doesn't conform to the rules and is rejected, I wouldn't want it polluting my database anyways. | | | My WebGenDVD online Collection |

| Posted: | | | | @DJ - Yup that's exaclty what I meant @8Ball - Sometimes The Crew is fine but the cast is bad or vice versa, so the whole thing gets rejected , just thought if it was there I could make my own decisions (for my local DB) Ritch | | | Learning is not mandatory, but then neither is survival. |

I hadn't thought of this, I stand corrected. | | | Paul |

| Posted: | | | | Maybe if you could copy cast or crew from someones online collection, this way you could get custom crew as well. |
