| Posted: | | | | These credits are technically for the 1967 picture Bedazzled with Dudley Moore and Raquel Welch. The Story is the same, screenplay is a tad bit different This next screen shows the Screenwriter credits for the (2000) version with Fraser and Hurley What would the proper credits be? Charlie |

Screenwriters for the other 3 guys. |

Group divider: Based on the Motion Picture Bedazzled - Peter Cook: OMB (Screenplay By) - Peter Cook: OMB (Story By) - Dudley Moore: OMB (Story By)
Larry Gelbart: Screenwriter (Screenplay By) Harold Ramis: Screenwriter (Screenplay By) Peter Tolan: Screenwriter (Screenplay By) | | | Cor |

It was "story by" back then, for the original 'Bedazzled' movie. But now, for the remake, it has become "original material" serving as the basis for the new screenplay. | | | Last edited: by T!M |

And I don't see that at all, and would certainly vote against it. "Based on the Motion Picture Bedazzled" definitely does not describe a "crew team". It's just a part of those OMB credits, nothing more. Additionally, I notice that there are indeed some users who have started assigning dividers to just about EVERY crew credit, and I'd really like to put an end to that. IMHO, a simple "Written by XXX and YYY" credit would not result in a group divider - and so on... | | | Last edited: by T!M |

We really need to stop with assigning dividers to just about EVERYTHING - by your logic, a simple "Written by XXX and YYY" would result in a a group divider as, well, no? I don't see why not. They were the writing team that worked on the movie. Not sure if I would necessarily agree with it. |

| Posted: | | | | AS far as your other point, written by xxx and yyy does not a group make. That would be 2 credits. |

With the group divider it makes the writing credits/data far more clear and structured. | | | Cor |
