| Posted: | | | | Hi All,
I think I am missing some option in the filtering, because I cannot find a way to filter for unwatched DVD's. And as I presume that is one of the more usual searches in a catalog, I think the blind spot in this case is on the user side and not in the App...
Who can enlighten me? |

I agree, it's not very convenient and it would be much more useful if the filter had an option 'never watched', but for now this will have to do. | | | Blu-ray collection DVD collection My Games My Trophies |

| Posted: | | | | Thanks for the answer, but the message is a pity. I never use the browse mode as that only seems to search the 'owned' collection and ignores any other collection. At least I did not find any way. And worse: it does not filter, making it useless for my purposes.
If I want to watch a movie I do not want to wade through loads of DVD's with TV episodes, and if I'm looking for a movie the children did not watch yet (which is what I spend 15 minutes today very stubbornly trying to accomplish before posting) it is no good if all non-family films come in between.
Very strange this sort of search was not planned in any way straight from version 1.0 on? I would think the App would be mostly useful for two things: first of all keeping your wishlist with you while on the move, and secondly finding something to watch while sitting on the couch. Seems I am in a minority here (although for the life of my I cannot think of what an average user would else want from the app....?)
For now I'm back to my VNC client to the desktop version. And I'll post something on the 'wanted features' forum. Good thing its free upgrades, I presume it will come my way one of these days :-) |

| Posted: | | | | With some work on your part, you could create custom tags using any criteria you want. You would then have to make a trip through your collection and check the appropriate tag(s) for each movie in your collection. This can look daunting at first, but, after the initial trip through your collection, you can check the appropriate tag(s) as you add each movie, series, combo pack, etc. I had almost a thousand movies when I first started using them. Ever since that initial trip through my collection, I have never looked back.
Custom tags are one of the most powerful tools Ken has given us. Have fun with it. | | | Marty - Registered July 10, 2004, User since 2002. |
