Sometimes I can use the machine name, sometimes I have to use the IP. But it's not just with the iOS app. |

Sometimes I can use the machine name, sometimes I have to use the IP. But it's not just with the iOS app. Have tried both with no success. Tried trough the internet too. The test passed but would still not connect. Tried rebooting and reinstalling several times. No combination has gotten it to work. | | | Attracted to "svelte buoyant waterfowl". |

| Posted: | | | | Do you use the Windows firewall? I was having the exact same issue until I opened up the firewall program via the control panel, then deleted the program rule for DVD profiler. Opened up Profiler again, and then used the 'test' button under tools/options/sharing to force windows to generate a new rule. After that is worked immediately (although I had to use the IP not computer name). Good luck. | | | Last edited: by bob9000 |
