I am trying to create a simple report with location and dvd name.  I edited Simple Report and 'save as' to a new name.  Then edit that report.

I want to remove release date and put in Location from the personal page.  I can't find it in the little icons.

Can someone show me how to add that column to the report.

Thanks

Download report 1 Per Page Viewing (v 1.5); contains location and slot.
Search for location on the download reports page.

greyghost ... thanks for that.  I was looking for an 'inventory' type report.  With 1700+ it would take a lot of paper for one per page <G>.  I did find one using the search.

But I still have a question on creating a report.  How is this done if I can't find a little icon for the column I want on the report.  For example the location/slot.
How are the reports on the site created without these fields?
Is there another tool for creating a report?
Is there a way to add all columns to the report editor?

Thanks for hanging in there with a newbie

I tried that but it didn't work as advertised.  Disk-Place displays the "main feature" data.

I have been programming full time since 1980 .. even built a couple thousand reports in windows .. but i have to admit that this thing has got me stumped.  Normally you put an element on the screen then assign the correct db/column reference.  Here .. there are just some icons to pick from.  Doesn't seem to be as many icons as there are data pieces in the screens.  Oh well ... I just need to learn the DVDProfiler way of doing things.

I am looking at a report "Simple Title and Location Report".  I contains 2 columns called DVDDiscs1 and DVDDiscs2.  When executed this creates the Location and Slot.  There does not appear to be anything in the element property box that says it is location and slot.  How does the system know this?  Is there a list of what I can use or is there just the icons?

Thanks .. hope this isn't boring anyone

Thanks for that .. the 'simple title and location report' does most of what i want .. but i am wondering HOW these were created.  Looking at the report with the 'editor' doesn't really explain this.

Thanks again

From an old posting: The question was how to enter a field that just "Location", my answer:
Quote:
In the Report-Editor go to: Content - DVD - Disc Information (second icon from the right)
Now this field contains almost all information, most likely you want to toggle "Show Description" and "Show Slot" to 'False'

The fields on the left are crucial. And yes, this whole interface is rather non-intuitive.
