Quick question : The font that the program uses by default, can this be changed ?

what ever the default is its boogering up names with special charters eg. Željko Ivanek that goofy Z is garbled blahness.

I would prefer to not change my system default, but I could live with a change in program.

You're posting this in the 'layouts and reports' section.

As far as reports are concerned, when you edit a report you can specify a specific font where appropriate (text boxes etc.).

With (screen) layouts, I am not aware of an ability to change fonts. It has been lamented many times in the past that DVDp is not, or not yet fully, Unicode compliant and I do not know whether the "Ž" would require this to be.

EDIT 1 Just checked and on my PC the "Ž" displays correctly both in Filters/Cast and in the Cast windows. So something else may be wrong/different. Which Windows version are you running and do you know the system font name? Where does it show mangled?
EDIT 2 According to the Windows Help changing the system font doesn't necessarily change the program font(s). As far as fonts is concerned, my Windows 7 default font is Segoe UI. Don't know what Invelos specified inside DVDp.

The Ž is part of the basic Windows-1252 character set. Unicode is not necessary to display this character.

Here is some caps I did the last time we talked about this...

The Twilight Zone: Season 1 (2002) - Željko Ivanek

Unfortunately while it shows up fine in the cast list... it don't in the pop-up when you click on his name.  Something Ken will need to fix! See where I circled....

Well I was thinking that MAYBE the font can be changed via the layout/theme functions.

A2D has that same thing going on that I do.

I am on Win 7 64b nothing special on my theme or fonts its a working box so no in depth custom changes to the UI.

If I'm not mistaken, the typeface on the cast list window is MS Sans Serif. Unfortunately the glyph for Ž in that typeface shows up as a thick vertical bar.
