How do I know if my computer has it and if it does is there anything that I need to do to start using it before even installing a plugin?
Because all I know is that I have never started or even used such a program and have no idea where to even look. |

If you have it then it is listed with other installed programs in your Windows Control Panel. If not then you can get the latest version at the Microsoft Website: https://www.microsoft.com/en-US/download/details.aspx?id=48130 Once it is installed you don't have to do anything. | | Posted: September 10, 2015 5:33 PM | | | | General info: The Microsoft .NET Framwork is part of the Windows installation since at least Windows 7 if not Vista.
It is readily available for XP as well.
There are always newer version of this Framework but Plugins rarely make use of them unless they have a really good reason. For most plugins, the Framwork version 3.5 is totally enough.
And yes, it is backwards compatible, a program written for 3.5 will work just fine in Framework 4.5 | | | Karsten
