| Posted: | | | | Nearly all profiles for this film have the UK as Country of Origin. The film was made in England so this would be logical at first sight. But the contribution rules state: Enter the country or countries in which the main feature's production company/companies are based, in the order they appear in the credits.![](http://img5.fotos-hochladen.net/uploads/schnappschuss2op0yavmrui.png) ![](http://img5.fotos-hochladen.net/uploads/schnappschuss2p1y6w9t8x7.png) ![](http://img5.fotos-hochladen.net/uploads/schnappschuss2g5cok367lr.png) ![](http://img5.fotos-hochladen.net/uploads/schnappschuss2rlyg3ptd2h.png) These are all credits for production companies within the film credits. MGM is clearly an American company. So, what should be the CoO for this film? | | | Think different
Everything will be okay in the end. If it's not okay, it's not the end. |

| Posted: | | | | While we can't enter it as a studio in DVDP, Stanley Kubrick Productions is (was) a UK-based production company involved in producing this film. MGM was involved as both the theatrical release studio and a production company. Hence UK and US are the CoO's and the answer to your poll should be "both". |

| Posted: | | | | Which is why it can't be entered in DVDP per the rules as a studio, as I already said.
This doesn't alter the fact that Stanley Kubrick Productions was a UK-based production company, subcontracted by MGM, for the production of this film (and a few others). Just takes a bit more research than merely looking at the credits. | | | Last edited: by dee1959jay |

If the last photo would have said "Made by MGM British Studios", then I would give it a UK CoO. But saying "Made at..." it's just a shooting location. |

I agree that shooting locations don't matter for CoO's. But hey, do as you please. I don't care. There are other things going on in the world right now (talking about shooting locations...). | | | Last edited: by dee1959jay |
