I've tried searching, but came up with nothing...

How do you add the Disc ID for a HD-DVD in profiler? When I just press "Set", it tells me that the disc cannot be identified as a DVD!?

You need to have an HD-DVD compatible drive

So even though my BR-drive reads and plays the disc fine (though I can't get it to display subs), a dedicated HD-DVD-drive is needed for this?

Which title is this and what make and model drive do you have?  Do you have trouble assigning disc IDs for any other HD-DVDs?

It's Total Recall special edition (EAN 5706550035305), which includes to DVD's and this HD-DVD.

As this is the only HD-DVD I own, I don't know if it would work with others.

The drive is a LiteOn iHBS112 2 - and no, I can't find anything anywhere about this should be able to read HD-DVD...

Here is an older report which shows the drive wasn't compatible with HD-DVD, unless a newer firmware provides that capability, but it's odd that you can read and play the disc if the drive is not compatible.

Excellent suggestion. I also have done this. There is an obsolete version of PowerDVD that has HD DVD support, maybe 7.3? I have long since archived my HDDVD into ISOs that I mount on a virtual drive and play with PowerDVD or Total Media. When the file doesn't play properly, I play the original disc on my old Xbox 360.
Thanks for your support.

Rander, how did you acquire the disc and can you take a picture of the play (bottom) side of the HD-DVD and post it?

I have a CDROM  LG HL-DT-ST-BDDVDRW GGC-H20L  that only plays Blueray  will not play back HDDVD  .., BUT .. my video software program install which is Cyberlink  PowerDVD 16  will detect and display the Disc ID for my 36 odd titles of HDDVD titles I own ...
and that I am happy for  I can at least (with my  'so called' dual LG player) see and read for which I play these  HDDVD discs back on my Toshiba player in another room ..
