| Posted: | | | | Hi. When trying to contribute a profile I get the following errors:
"Socket Error # 10054 Connection reset by peer"
Then when clicking ok "Error Contribution submission failed. Please try again later"
This happens on both my Windows 10 x64 v1903 PCs. I've run a full DB repair.
Any ideas please? Thanks. |

| Posted: | | | | It's an internet connection problem. Probably temporary and not on your end. Try again tomorrow. | | | Karsten DVD Collectors Online

It could be either your connection or firewall settings. | | | Corey |

| Posted: | | | | Thanks for your replies. I should have added, besides it happening on both computers, it’s been occurring for weeks and weeks. I’m assuming it doesn’t need any special ports opening on the router?
Edit: I’ve tried the alternate connection and run the test...test passed but still have the problem. It occurs when it is supposed to open up the web browser to upload the profile etc. I’ve tried changing the default browser to IE, Edge, Chrome and Firefox...all to no avail.
I’m on a static IP as part of my business broadband...does Invelos block certain IPs?
Edit 2: I connected my laptop to my iPhone hotspot and it worked as expected, so it’s something to do with my new business router I suspect. I have disabled as much as possible within the firewall settings and no change. Are there certain requirements? Thanks.
Edit 3: I have created a new user profile and run DVD Profiler on that. I created a new blank DB and added a DVD. I edited it and was asked if I wanted to contribute - this worked. So is it my DB? I have run multiple full repairs on my main DB.
Edit 4: I should also add, I cannot upload my collection either - same Socket Error message | | | Last edited: by StumpyBloke |

That is strange then. Do you perhaps have a VPN you can use to alter your IP address + location and try that with? I have never really heard of Invelos blocking an IP though... You could try submitting a Support ticket and see if you get a response also. | | | Corey |

| Posted: | | | | You're a star, I tried my VPN and it's all working again. So for some reason, Invelos are blocking my ISP's IP(s) it would seem.
Thanks for your help. |
